High moisture resistant board, also known HMR board, is a type of engineered wood product designed to withstand exposure to moisture and humidity better than standard MDF. It’s made from wood fibers bonded together with moisture-resistant resins. Commonly used in bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and other areas prone to humidity or occasional water exposure. Despite improved moisture resistance, it’s not suitable for permanently installed outdoor or areas with constant water exposure.
